Live at 35 is a Feature on Inside Local Music, designed to allow local artists to showcase their talents. We invite them to the secret location that is Studio 35 and work with them to record an 'unplugged' version of one or more of their original tunes. We have a couple of rehersals and then record the tune. Their is no post production. What they play is what you hear!
We also have a chat to them to find out more about them. The features are played on Inside Local Music on The Source FM.
This is your opportunity to 'listen again' to the interviews and the tunes.
Live at 35 we present (alphabetically) .....
(Please Note: If you wish to listen to the tune only, wait for the blue line to complete and then slide to the point you want)

John plays original songs in a wide variety of styles that span both Western and Eastern influences. In addition to being a talented singer and guitarist, John is also an accomplished bass player with a number of styles under his belt. Coming to guitar as a second instrument, coupled with an interest in songwriting, John decided to spend less time playing bass in bands and more time working on his original music.
John Greene started as a guitar player and then bassist in 1965 in his native Cornwall. Robins songwriting style owes much to the long and peculiarly British tradition of vernacular narratives which rely on a slightly quirky interpretation of contemporary culture as well as some of the odder characteristics of human relationships. This tradition has in the past been personified by, amongst others, Ray Davies, Squeeze, Ian Dury, Billy Bragg and Victoria Wood - even more recently by the likes of Neil Hannon, Frank Turner, Mike Skinner and Lily Allen.
